Boldness Over Perfection: What I Learned from Selena Rezvani

Recently, I had the opportunity to speak with Selena Rezvani, author of Quick Confidence. What started as a kind introduction through a radio host (Thank you, Jay Scherr!) turned into a conversation I will not forget.

Selena is clear about her mission. She wants to see more women in leadership. She is driven by that goal, and it shows.

Selena encouraged me to try something new, lower the stakes, and stay eager. Her words were practical and personal. She reminded me that confidence grows when you create, not when you wait. Many of us hold back because we think our work isn’t ready or isn’t good enough. Selena’s advice: stop overthinking. You are enough. You have enough to offer.

She used a phrase I loved. Stop trying to plant one prize plant, and rather, seed a forest.

Selena’s next chapter includes a three-book series. The first, focused on leadership, is coming this November.

She reminded me that boldness is a practice. Thank you, Selena, for the chance to listen and learn.
